To whip up some cauliflower rice, all you need is a food processor. Just follow these steps:

Steps to Prepare Cauliflower Rice

1. Prepare the Cauliflower

  • Remove the leaves and stem from the cauliflower.

  • Cut the cauliflower in half and then into smaller florets (about 1-2 inch pieces) for easier processing.

2. Rinse and Dry (Optional)

  • Rinse the cauliflower florets under cold water to remove any dirt.

  • Pat them dry with a clean towel or paper towels to avoid excess moisture.

3. Process the Cauliflower

  • Place the cauliflower florets in the bowl of the food processor.

  • Pulse the florets in short bursts (about 5-10 seconds each) until they resemble the size of rice grains. Avoid over-processing to prevent cauliflower mush.

  • Process in batches if necessary, depending on your food processor's capacity.

4. Cook the Cauliflower Rice

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a tablespoon of oil (olive oil, coconut oil, or butter).

  • Once the oil is hot, add the cauliflower rice and stir occasionally.

  • Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until it's tender but still has some texture.

  • Season with salt, pepper, or any other seasonings you like (such as garlic powder, onion powder, or fresh herbs).
