Wedding Diary: The Wedding Expo at Solomon Pond Mall

Now that I have calmed down after my post engagement euphoria, I have now entered the planning phase of my wedding. There are so many things to decide like my style of dress and the kind of flowers I want etc. Making these decisions can be hard if you don’t have a wedding planner which is why I have decided to attend wedding related events as they are very helpful. I am especially looking forward to the Wedding Expo at the Solomon Pond Mall this coming Saturday March 11th. With a good mix of wedding vendors,  businesses and even a runway show I’m sure I will leave with a wealth of information for my wedding.

The event will be held at Solomon pond Mall which is one of the many fabulous malls from the Simon property group. The mall has something for everyone including a Macy’s, JCPenney, Shoe Dept. Encore, Sears and over a 100 speciality stores. You will find shops like Ann Taylor, LOFT, Coach, Chico’s, The Apple Store, Forever 21, American Eagle outfitters, H&M, Victoria’s secret, Gymboree and lots more. This is also a great place for a fun night out. You can have dinner at Bertucci’s, TGI Friday’s or any of the 8 food court kitchens after a movie at Regal Cinema or games at Tilt Studio. You can find the full Solomon Pond Mall store directory on their website.

  1. This brings back memories…if I could count all of the wedding expos that my husband and I went to before we got married! Some were fun, others were stressful…people really try to push their services on you sometimes!

  2. I worked in the event planning industry 15+ years ago. I loved wedding show season…it was always so much fun! We always had a booth near the stage and I would spend a good amount of time taking in all the gorgeous dresses that hit the runway…so much inspiration comes down those runways. I love that this expo is in a mall…so many of us end up there in our free time, anyway! What a great spot to have it. Hope you have a wonderful time and take a way a lot of good information for your upcoming wedding.

  3. You must be so excited. This brings back a lot of memories. I love weddings and even if there’s no wedding in the family, I love visiting expos and checking out the newest trends in weddings.

  4. I think it would be so much fun to visit a wedding expo. I love expos in general, it’s great to discover new businesses and trends. Even though I’m already married, I do love checking out all the latest in the wedding world! This sounds like an awesome event!

  5. I have never went to one of these expos but they look like fun. My daughter loves that kind of stuff and even watches that Say yes to the dress show. I bet she would like to go to one of these, there are so many pretty dresses out there I don’t know how these women pick out just one from them all. I on the other hand bought the first one I tried on. lol

  6. What a great idea to have so much information at one location. If I were getting married anytime soon, this would be that place to be. Sounds like it would make life os much easier for the one planning the wedding. And how beautiful are these dresses?
