The Super Easy Way to Wear Floral Print

The idea that bright colors should be saved for summer should be tossed away and I am glad that the fashion world has come on board. It used to be that white and other bright colors are not to be worn after labor day. Granted warm tones like brown and plum look good on fall jackets and winter coats, however mustard yellow jackets and blush blazers look just as great in the cooler weather. Today the focus is on the floral print and how to wear it.

The Super Easy Way to Wear a Floral Print

Its the beginning of fall and I am rocking florals and yellow! What can I say Iike to live on the edge. This outfit includes a very bold mustard yellow color from the blazer and purse while the blue jeans balance out the look.

The casual ruffle floral top from Gozon, is the star and anchor of this outfit therefore I selected the accessories, shoes and pants around it. This is a good way to figure out how to style your outfits, find the item that anchors the look and style with items that complement it. When it comes to wearing a floral print like this one it is important not to overdo it by mixing it with another print. Best to pair floral prints with solid prints like I did with these blue jeans. Because the weather is getting cooler in the evenings the mustard yellow blazer was the perfect fit to provide a layer of warmth.

Accessories play a key role in completing this outfit. Bead bracelets, a layered necklace and the Instagram famous Daniel Wellington White Classic Petit Bondi Watch. You can get the same watch or any watch of your choice on the Daniel Wellington website for 15% off! Style Question of the day:

  1. If you pair up florals and jeans you can never go wrong. Yellow use to be my favorite color. Love your jacket and purse looks great put together.

  2. Great post! I’ve been going crazy with the yellows lately, and I’m so happy about it! I usually only wear dark colors, but I’ve realized that the yellow makes me look healthy and awake. I like to wear bright colors with other bright colors actually. For example, turquoise colored oants with my mustard yellow top looks amazing!

  3. I love yellow and it looks particularly nice on you, who says bright colours are only for summer? I think you should wear whatever you like and carry it off with confidence! Love the bag too 🙂

  4. I must say that I don’t think I own any floral print outside of a summer dress or two. But you’ve made me want to give it a try. It’s always fun to add some variety to your wardrobe.

  5. Floral print is definitely not something that I have stocked my closet with but it has been growing on me. I love the style that you put together here, it really works well as an interesting but professional look with the blazer.

  6. I have so many patterned things in my closet that I just don’t know what to pair with! I feel like I can’t wear them as often as I would like to.

  7. I’m really big on mixing patterns so I love matching anything floral print with stripes. You wouldn’t think it goes together but it totally does! That being said, I love how that yellow top looks on you. It makes your melanin POP.

  8. We can wear florals all year round and no one will stop us, even the weather 🙂
I like your whole outfit! And I heard yellow will be a hit next year 🙂
