The Not so Little Black Dress

Its clear I have an obsession with long flowy dresses as today I am featuring another maxi dress that I got for only 19 bucks at TJ Maxx. They say every girl needs to own a little black dress, I also think every girl should own a not so little black dress. Long cotton black dresses are very versatile in the summer as they can go from day time to night time. With fall on the way you can pair them with a denim or leather jacket.

The great thing about black is that there are so many options when it comes to accessories. You can pretty much wear it with any color accessory and still look good. Below are some great ways to accessorize a black dress. See more  tips on how to accessorize an orange dress here.

3 ways to accessorize a black dress

Wear a belt : Belts are always  great way to accentuate your shape and they take your dress from very casual to super elegant.

Oversized or Stacked Bracelets: I love the look of a large bangle with a simple dress, there is something about the large size of the bracelet and the simplicity of the dress that is very chic. If you dont have a large bracelet you can stack several bracelets.

Brown sandals with beads or diamente: Brown sandals always look good with a long black dress. The color contrast just works. Instead of getting plain sandals, opt for a sandal with fun details like beading or a unique design

You can throw in a hat and a nice pair of sunglasses for a touch of elegance like I did with this ensemble. Do you own a long black dress and how do you like to style it? I would love to learn from you so comment are always welcome.
