What I wore

What I wore: Pink sheath dress

Some people don’t put much thought to their work attire as they do to their weekend attire which is fine but I am not one of those people. I love dressing up and work is no exception, a¬†fashionista still wants to look good no matter were she is.
Sheath dresses are great for work because of their classic design. You can start with a simple black sheath dress and create different looks by layering it with blazers or cardigans on cool days.
Great stores to shop for sheath dresses are The Limited, Loft, J Crew, Banana republic and Gap. I found the pink sheath dress below from The Limited and it was on sale for 40 bucks!

I am not a big fan of the color pink but when I walked into the store this dress was calling my name. The moment I tried it on I forgot all about my hatred for pink.
What also attracted me to this dress was the the expert tailoring and fine details like the black pockets on the side.

What I wore: Black and White casual outfit

I have always wanted to do outfit posts but was a little apprehensive because I thought that it would make me appear self absorbed. My take on outfit posts has since changed since attending the Blog better Boston Style summit last weekend. I discovered that some of the most successful bloggers do outfit posts and they are far from self absorbed. I have come to realize that outfit posts are a great way to showcase one’s style and they are fun too!

My first outfit post will showcase a black and white casual outfit that I wore to the mall this weekend. The ensemble included my go to black skinny jeans, a white blouse and black and gold flats. Since it was a little cold I layered the outfit with a black boyfriend blazer.

Skinny jeans : The Limited $79
White blouse : Loft originally $49 – got it on sale for $29!
Boyfriend blazer : Club Monaco originally $249 – got it on sale for $100!
Flats : Anne Klein shoes $69
