Currently obsessed with: Origins skin care

I am one of those people that are constantly changing skincare brands each time I run out. I am not sure why I have this bad habit, I guess its the thought that I could benefit more from something else. Lately I am obsessed with the Origins skincare line.
I am attracted to fact that Origins products include natural ingredients and a they are formulated without parabens, harsh chemicals and all that bad stuff.
Origins has products for each skin type and since I have combination skin I got the checks and balances face wash with a balancing tonic. I highly recommend the checks and balances face wash as it doesn’t dry your skin while removing excess oil. The balancing tonic is also amazing as each time I use it my skin feels so clean and fresh that I just want to keep touching it.
If you are looking for your next beauty product, I suggest trying Origins as it has done wonders for my skin. I would like to mention that this is not a sponsored post and the opinions are entirely my own.

How to get healthy and beautiful skin

Many people have asked how I get healthy skin and I always say it’s a combination of what I eat, drink and products I use. I would say 80% is diet and 20% is skin products. To get beautiful skin you need to include loads of fruit and veggies like carrots, spinach, grapefruit, strawberries and more to your diet. Salmon is great for healthy skin and it has been said that drinking green tea helps clear your skin.
When it comes to products you need to know if your skin type is sensitive, oily, dry or combination then you can choose what works for you. Every morning I wash my face with Body shop’s tea tree wash then apply a small amount of rose hip oil before I use my vitamin E moisturizer with SPF 15. Before I go to bed I apply the rose hip oil 5 nights a week and the remaining 2 nights I use the Estee’ Lauder advanced night repair. This regimen has worked for me and my skin has never been better.
What is your skincare regimen? I would love to hear what products are working for you.

Beauty bites : Using lemon for your skin

I am always interested in learning new tips and tricks in skincare and beauty, so when my workmate Kelly mentioned that she sometimes uses fresh lemon juice on her skin it sparked my interest. After a week of watching a particular spot fade away from her skin I was totally on board.
Did you know that lemons contain Alpha Hydroxy Acid , a key ingredient in most skincare products? The acid in lemons acts as mild exfoliant that removes dead skin cells to reveal fresh radiant skin.

Here are a few tips on using lemons for spots and blemishes :

  • Apply the freshly squeezed lemon juice directly on the affected area with a cotton swab.
  • For best results do it in the evening after washing your face with a gentle cleanser.
  • Lemon juice can be very drying so if you experience any irritation, rinse with cool water.
  • Please keep in mind that it may take a few weeks to see a difference so a little patience is necessary.
