Out and About : Bloggers dinner

This week I had the pleasure of being invited to a Bloggers event hosted by lovely Georgina from the popular blog Notes on lifestyle. I have attended a few Bloggers events and this one was one of my favorite. I loved the dinner setting of the event as it allowed shy bloggers like myself to socialize easily.
The event was held at Boston Chops a Steakhouse in the South end.

Got to meet old friends and make new ones like Amy from Creative Soul Spectrum, Mo from Belle of the Bean and Nikia from Pink & Red pumps catering Be sure to check out their great blogs.

Me with the event host Georgina. Loved her outfit

I ordered a Skirt steak with a side of arugula and fries. I am not a huge steak person but this was  well seasoned and delicious!

Weekend recap : Weddings and glamour

This weekend the BF and I attended his cousin’s wedding and It was a beautiful experience. The bride and the groom looked amazing and it was great to be part of their special day. I chose a simple elegant purple dress paired with pewter peep toe heels.
One of my favorite outfits of the night was by my BF’s stylish cousin Shelisha, I love the way she accessorized her dress with oval earrings, a bold ring and layered bracelets.

The bride must have similar taste in flowers as me, white flowers are my favorite.
For dinner I chose sea bass served over a bed of creamy rice with zucchini and baby carrots.

Out and about : Boston Bloggers event

Lately I feel like I have been out and about almost every week which is unlike me but I am enjoying it. This Tuesday the Boston Bloggers hosted a event and it was great to meet members of the blogging world.
I wanted to keep things simple so I paired my favorite black skinny jeans with a black and white striped blouse.

Me and Joelle from My Sunday Dress

It was great to see Jess from Styled by Jess again and I also got to meet new people like Marie from Twinliving and Rebecca from Rebecca Murray photography.
The event was held at the Sinclair Kitchen which served yummy appetizers. Will be this restaurant again.

Out and about : Style Makers Boston Meet up

Anybody that really knows me will confirm that I am extremely shy and a little on the quiet side. As a blogger I get invited to events and meet ups which are filled with outgoing individuals which can be very challenging. Thank goodness everybody is very friendly which makes a huge difference and at the end of the day the experience is rewarding.
I had the pleasure of attending the Style Makers Boston meetup hosted by Amy Parker and Tiffani Rogers on Wednesday night. It was great to mingle with members of Boston’s fashion community and the great thing about these events is that I always leave feeling motivated to continue what I am doing.

Zebra print dress from TJ Maxx.
Going out on a weeknight can be tricky especially when the event is right after work. Since I had minimal time to get ready, my outfit choice was a zebra print high-low dress which needed minimal accessories and putting together.

One of my favorite outfits of the night was from Yajaira who was rocking stunning wide leg pants and a peplum top. Way to go girl!

There were loads of stylish people around including Elisa, Amy, Yaya and Chelsea.

Weekend diary : Parks and recreation

Last week I decided to take Thursday and Friday off  so I could have a nice long weekend. The plan was to go to the beach and relax however the weather had other plans. Scattered thunderstorms were not exactly what I envisioned for a long weekend however I still managed to make the most out of it.
I started off with attending a Style makers event at the trendy Trade restaurant in Boston. It was nice to meet  style bloggers and other people involved in the fashion industry in Boston.
From left Katherine from Style tab, Kaitlin from Love and Milkshakes, Susan from Lifestyle of a Fashionista, Amy from Good looks daily, Abbie from Fabulous life of a natural disaster and Elissa from Style wire.
On Friday night the BF and I decided  to watch a movie and since I am not a fan of Zombies and Super heroes we watched This is the end which was a hilarious comedy. Saturday was all about hanging at the park  and I have to say it was just perfect. Nothing beats being surrounded by nature in the company of a loved one. Looking forward to the next great weekend!
