Did you know that Eggs Benedict is one of the most popular brunch menu items? I always find myself ordering eggs Benny whenever I go out for brunch so I decided to try to make it myself at home. Eggs Benedict is simply an English muffin topped with bacon or ham, poached egg, and a creamy hollandaise sauce layered on top.
Executing the perfect Eggs Benedict can be tricky but it’s pretty straightforward once you get the gist of it. For my first attempt, the results were actually good and I feel great about sharing my easy recipe with you. What makes it easy is the blender hollandaise sauce. The traditional method of making hollandaise is using a boiler but ain’t nobody got time for that!
My hollandaise sauce had a thinner consistency but I actually liked the light sauce. If you prefer a thicker and richer sauce you can add more butter. When making this dish, counting calories is out of the question as it is an inherently rich dish. This is the kind of meal you make once in a while so why not go all out.
With Valentine’s day coming up you can prepare Eggs Benedict for that special someone. They will certainly feel special when you serve this delectable treat. Go ahead and make some mimosas or serve with freshly squeezed grapefruit juice. Either way, you will feel like a MasterChef and you will get a lot of praise.
