With the fast casual restaurant scene booming in recent years its no surprise that my first good eats boston experience of 2018 is at Grainmaker, a fab fast casual dining spot in Boston. What drew me to the restaurant is their innovative menu with South East Asian influences, which I absolutely love.
The ordering process is like most fast casual spots where you build your bowl. The veggie selection is pretty awesome including delicious string beans, zucchini and my favorite wok fried seasonal greens. I thoroughly enjoyed selecting my garnishes from many choices including a cabbage slaw, fresh cilantro, scallions, pickled veggies and more. Grainmaker also offers some popular street fare like Banh mi sandwiches and street tacos. There is definitely something for everyone.
The restaurant is conveniently located in the Boston’s Downtown crossing area and is steps away from major subway stations. I highly recommend this place for your next lunch stop for excellent food flavors and healthy food choices.

Oh yum, the food does look delicious. Grainmaker definitely sounds like a great place to grab a quick, healthy bite to eat.
It most certainly is. The food was delicious!
looks like they really put a big emphasis on healthy eating which is so great! I’m wondering they have vegetarian or vegan friendly dishes as well 🙂
That food looks delicious! I have Boston on my travel bucket list. It’s good to know what restaurants to try while being there. Thank you!
That meal looks so yummy! If I’m ever in Boston, I’ll have to check it out! Love Boston so much.
I like the build your bowl idea…kind of like how you build your own salads at saladworks. This food looks more filling though. Thank you for the idea if I ever get to visit that area again.
It’s interesting how the restaurant combines both South Asian cuisine with the Mexican one. I just came back from Mexico and I know how good the street tacos are. Also, I love Vietnamese food, so I would love to try those banh mi sandwiches.
This looks amazing! I’ve never been to America so I’ve not tried this place but I LOVE that you can select the specific veggies to have with the meal, that is an awesome idea. I already know I’d like it there!
I love Boston! I used to spend my summers there when i was in high school! i was not going out much though! this place looks so nice and the food so good!
If I ever visit Boston, I would love to go and eat at that restaurant! I love that the veggie selection is so wide including delicious string beans and zucchini cause I just love these!! I generally avoid eating meat but maybe my husband could go for some other choices. But we both love the South East Asian influences!
The food looks so delicious and healthy, your description is to the point. Grainmaker definitely sounds like a good place to visit when I am in the area.
Grainmaker looks like a good and healthy choice. I would definitely look to eat there if I was in the area.
I love the build your own bowl restaurants. I use to frequent one in Chesapeake, VA. The dishes were healthy and very fresh.
Ugh I want to cry because grainmaker isn’t near where I live, I want that delicious looking food in my face right now
That sounds like I would love it! I hope they open a location in my city.
That looks absolutely delicious! All of the fresh veggies looks amazing!
I don’t think we have a whole lot of building your own meal restaurants where I’m from so this sounds so cool! It looks delicious!
That looks really delicious! I hope I can do this for that yummy look. My family will surely love this. I just need to master the recipe to match their picky taste.
I really enjoy fast causal dining. This one seems to incorporate healthy and trendy meals. I really want to go go Boston!
