Bacon and Cheddar Fries Recipe

It’s cheat meal day and on cheat days I go big. This month I decided to make some Bacon and Cheddar fries for Saturday lunch. Topped with sharp cheddar cheese, green onions and spicy jalapeños, they are the ultimate indulgence and absolutely delicious.

I love this recipe because it is fast, flavorful and fantastic. I also like that it is finger food that you can totally eat as a meal too. I like to serve them with sour cream on the side but you can use ranch if your prefer. If you were to serve these for your guests on game day you will be guaranteed some very happy guests. They are just that good. Toppings can be anything you want and check out more options.

You have probably seen many glazed ham recipes floating around this time of year and there is a reason why this dish is so popular. It looks amazing, is easy to make and tastes great. What makes this Cranberry Glazed Hatfield® Uncured Ham Recipe a step above the rest is the use of uncured, nitrate free, artificial ingredient free, juicy and smoky Hatfield Uncured Ham.

Sliced Hatfield Uncured Ham

If you follow Spoons and Stilettos you probably know that I am a big fan of Hatfield products because of their full flavor, high quality and convenience. When it comes to meat my goal is to always serve ethically raised local products which Hatfield does.

Because not everyone has a big family, Hatfield now makes it easier to serve delicious holiday meals to families big or small. They have new smaller sized ham products which are available in ½ Pre-Sliced Pit Ham, ¼ Pre-Sliced Ham with Natural Juices or With Water added.

The Recipe:

I made this particular recipe recently and OMG, it turned out to be the best ham I’ve ever made. Everyone loved it and raved about how impressive, moist and flavorful it was. The leftover ham can be used for sandwiches, salads, frittatas and more. I love to use it for ham sandwiches for work. You can even use the left over sauce on so many things.

Looking at it you would think I spent hours in the kitchen but on the contrary it was pretty easy to make. The convenience of buying the already cooked Hatfield® Uncured Ham is a huge plus. With only 5 ingredients and minimal prep it is the perfect dish for busy parents and beginner cooks.

Useful Cranberry Glazed Hatfield® Ham Recipe Tips:
  • You can substitute honey for maple syrup
  • If you do not have any Dijon mustard you can substitute with dry mustard.
  • For extra flavor, insert a whole clove into each cut intersection or in the water used when baking the ham
  • The glaze can burn quickly, so check it frequently to prevent a blackened skin.

Apple Cider Glazed Bacon-Wrapped Pork Loin Medallions

Why I choose Hatfield® Premium Reserve Pork®

I am very picky when it comes to pork and Hatfield® Premium Reserve Pork® is the one brand that always get’s it right. Hatfield® Premium Reserve Pork® is the best tasting, highest quality pork that you can find out there, and this is coming from a pork snob.

I love the Hatfield® Premium Reserve Pork® Uncured Bacon-Wrapped Pork Loin Medallions for this recipe. They come perfectly portioned and are highly marbled for maximum flavor. An authentic brining and larding technique is used which results in a flavorful, tender and steakhouse-quality meat. I find it almost impossible to overcook these medallions. With Hatfield® Premium Reserve Pork®, you can be confident that every cut is Tasty. Tender. Every Time.™

The Recipe:

These Apple Cider Glazed Bacon-Wrapped Pork Loin Medallions only need 6 ingredients which is great. Nobody ever believes I made this dish in less than 40 minutes. What I love about the recipe is that you can serve it for a fancy holiday gathering or even a quick and simple weeknight meal. It’s like an outfit that you can dress up or down.

Other Ingredients include Apple Cider, Apple Cider Vinegar, Dijon Mustard, Garlic and Rosemary which are all easy to find and most likely in your pantry. The Hatfield® Premium Reserve Pork® Uncured Bacon-Wrapped Pork Loin Medallions can be found at your local Stop & Shop grocery store in the Meat and Seafood department. You will find them with the marinated meats right by the butchers counter.

Useful Bacon-Wrapped Pork Loin Medallions Recipe Tips:
  • You can substitute apple juice or applesauce for the apple cider. Both work out just as well.
  • Use dried rosemary as a last option. Fresh rosemary is essential for this recipe and gives the best flavor. As we can all agree, fresh is always better.
  • Although it may seem like the sauce is taking a while to reduce; don’t move away from the pan for too long as you don’t want to take the chance of burning your glaze. Trust me, this is coming from experience.
  • I like my bacon soft but if you like yours crispy, I suggest preheating oven to 375ºF and cooking the medallions for a few more minutes to your desired crispiness.
  • The blue heat-resistant pin used to keep the bacon around the medallion can be left in during cooking.

The meat was juicy, very tender and the glaze went well with the garlic and herb mashed potatoes I served it with. Sautéed spinach and soft grilled apples were perfect accompaniments to the dish. Even the hubs was very impressed and went on about how I did not spend hours in the kitchen.

With only 6 ingredients, no sugar added and the use of sugar and gluten free graham crackers this dessert is delicious and a healthier option compared to other heavy desserts. It is very light, fresh and makes a great alternative to cheesecake while still providing the same cheesecake flavor. It certainly makes a great summer healthy weekday dessert .

Delicious Macaroni and Cheese Cupcakes

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Schreiber Foods, Inc. The opinions and text are all mine.

I was recently invited to a summer barbecue and the host told me to bring a fun, savory dish. I thought to myself, what is one thing everybody loves? Macaroni and Cheese was the answer! I remember watching a Food Network chef make Macaroni and Cheese in cupcake form and decided that was what I was going to do. I knew the kids and adults would enjoy this fun take on Macaroni and Cheese. I had also been dying to use the Heluva Good!® Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese that I had got on sale at Big Y so this recipe was meant to be.

Delicious Macaroni and Cheese Cupcakes

I used real cheese in these cupcakes, no boxed mac n cheese allowed! The Heluva Good! Extra Sharp Cheddar cheese is perfect for Macaroni and Cheese because of its tangy flavor and sharp taste. One thing that I refuse to do is make Macaroni and Cheese without cheddar cheese, it just makes the taste difference.

Heluva Good! Cheese has the best cheese, and they have various cheese flavors including Colby Jack and Jalapeño Jack. The Jalapeño Jack is another favorite of mine for those times when I need a little spice, it is simply Monterey Jack Cheese with Jalapeño Peppers. I love to shred some into my breakfast tortilla wraps, so good! Give Heluva Good! Cheese a try if you haven’t. I find that their cheese is perfect for any occasion and provides plenty of recipe possibilities for quick snacks or tasty bites for entertaining.  Once you do, you will realize why it has that awesome name.

These individual sized portions of creamy, cheesy macaroni are the perfect solution to bring to a party and wow your guests. I ate one of them with a side salad and grilled chicken, it was amazing. They would also make a great side dish to beef, pork or just by themselves for non meat eaters. There is even broccoli and tomatoes in them so you can feel good about getting in some veggies and the kids will happily eat that broccoli. I received a lot of compliments about how pretty they looked and how they tasted amazing. I knew this recipe will be one for the books and certainly one that I would use for summertime eating and parties!Delicious Macaroni and Cheese Cupcakes

These Macaroni and Cheese Cupcakes are also a great way to recreate a kid-friendly meal into an easily transportable snack option. What is fantastic is that they’re nice and easy to put together, and would make a great inclusion to a child’s lunchbox as well. Try making these with the kids for a fun bonding experience.

Save on Heluva Good! Cheese

Earlier I was talking about how much I love Heluva Good! Cheese and I would love for you to try it. You can find it at most grocery stores located in the refrigerated block cheese section.
