Do a engagement photo shoot. Engagement photo shoots are very popular and for good reason. You get to spend time with your partner and capture that happy glow you get after you are engaged.  This is also a good time to get some photos to use for your wedding website or invitations.

Plan a long relaxed weekend together with no wedding talk involved. It doesn’t have to be a trip to Bora Bora. Even a trip to your local beach or your favorite spot will do the trick. The important thing is to spend quality time together.

Find other couples to hang out with; including married couples. Hanging out with a married couple and hearing their perspective on preparing for a wedding day and married life can benefit you.  There are many meet-up activities for couples that’ll help you unwind and meet great couples.

Another fun activity to do with your partner is a leisurely bike ride or a more active spin class. My favorite wedding site Wedding Wire is hosting a bride ride at the the Soulcycle studio in Boston’s Seaport district. I will be attending with my Fiancé and it will be fun to ride with other engaged couples. If you don’t live in Boston don’t worry,  Soulcycle has other locations all over the country. 6. These are all great ideas! We should stop pressuring ourselves when it comes to planning the perfect wedding. We can’t plan a perfect day anyway, we just have to make sure that it’s one of the best days of our lives. I think spending time together without talking about the wedding is great!

  7. Before I got married I also did a photo shoot. Capturing that moment was important to us. If you have a chance do a video also. It’s great way to reminisce back to that day. Love your ideas!

  8. These are all great activities for engaged couples to do. I love the idea of getting away for a weekend with other married and engaged couples that you know. Thanks for sharing the activities.
